Description of Role:

The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of Lightshift Energyโ€™s operating asset portfolio. This role oversees day-to-day asset performance, manages internal and third-party O&M providers, and ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements.


Key responsibilities will include:


Asset Operations & Performance

โ€ข Own technical performance of Lightshift Energyโ€™s operating assets.

โ€ข Monitor asset performance and drive corrective actions.

โ€ข Lead root cause analysis for outages and underperformance.


Maintenance Strategy & Execution

โ€ข Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

โ€ข Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

โ€ข Manage spare parts strategy.


Vendor & Contractor Management

โ€ข Manage third-party O&M providers and service contractors.

โ€ข Enforce SLAs and validate invoices.


Safety, Compliance & Risk

โ€ข Champion a strong safety culture.

โ€ข Review and approve contractor JHAs and work plans.

โ€ข Ensure compliance with codes, permits, and regulations.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

โ€ข Partner with Engineering, Development, and Finance teams.

โ€ข Support budgeting and lifecycle planning.


Location:

โ€ข Strong preference for candidate to report to Lightshiftโ€™s Arlington, VA headquarters. We will consider remote employment for exceptionally qualified candidates.


Compensation & Benefits:

โ€ข Salary range: $120,000 - $160,000;

โ€ข Full benefits package, including 401k, health/dental/vision insurance, paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, and short term disability.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

โ€ข 5+ years of relevant energy operations experience.

โ€ข Experience managing operating assets and vendors.

โ€ข Strong electrical/mechanical systems knowledge.


Preferred Qualifications:

โ€ข BESS or distributed energy experience.

โ€ข Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
