Job description

The Metropolitan Water District has a need for an Operations and Maintenance Technician to join their team at the Lake Mathews (Corona) & Diemer plant (Yorba Linda) locations in California.


Duties include:


  • Cleaning parts
  • Parts Delivery
  • Receiving & Stocking parts room
  • Organizing shop & tools
  • Cleaning shop
  • Steam cleaning & washing cars


Requirements:


  • This position is a temporary assignment up to 6 months
  • A Valid Class C Driver’s License (Required) 
  • Schedule: 4/10 Mon-Thurs (10 hours daily/ 4 days per week) – Subject to change
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. 
  • Able to stand for long periods
  • Forklift Certification (Preferred) 


  • Emptying trash
  • Sweeping & moping of floors
  • Fuel transferring
  • Minor mechanical tasks
  • Fixing flats & airing up tires
  • Paperwork
  • Driving to and from dealerships & vendors
