Accountant - Non Profit

The Accountant is a hands-on position leading the daily accounting activities and financial reporting of a stable mission based non-profit organization. This is a Direct Hire position.

Duties/Responsibilities of Accountant:

· Inputs Accounts Payable invoices, secures proper authorizations and generates check runs for each property.

· Manages Accounts Receivable and maintains bank reconciliations for each property.

· Maintain and update the fixed asset reporting of the properties and management company.

· Provides auditors with assistance; gathers required account information and documents to perform annual audits.

· Prepare monthly financial reports, including Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Cash Flow.

· Prepares and distributes financial and other related reports as required by investors and government related organizations.

· Maintain the chart of accounts.

· Ensure account reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations are current.

· Performs other related duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities of Accountant:

· Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

· Knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of a stable non-profit organization.

· Three years of related work experience.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

· Proficient with accounting software, Sage 50 experience a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
