Job Description

IT Manager (Hands On):

Note: This is a full-time, on-site position based at our NYC office.

We are looking for an experienced and hands on IT Manager to work in our New York City office full-time and in person. The IT Manager will be a key member of our team to work with our growing organization and locations. The candidate will manage the networks, desktops and other hardware devices and cloud environments. The candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of software packages utilized in our corporate offices, establishing sound processes for disaster recovery and security. This candidate should have extended prior experience working with information technology and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, improve and maintain networks and network equipment for the company locations.
  • Manage security systems, security camera systems and software in the offices.
  • Manage procurement, installation and maintenance of desktops, laptops and other hardware used in the company offices and remote locations.
  • Manage and maintain 3rd party software packages used by the company including installations, configurations, upgrades, license management, user onboarding and off-boarding.
  • Create and maintain inventory of HW and SW assets.
  • Create and execute cyber security and disaster recovery processes and plans.
  • Actively participate in creating the IT Strategy and planning for the company.
  • Proactively evaluate processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with other team members to achieve project milestones.
  • Negotiate and communicate with third-party software providers for new software's and troubleshooting
  • Manage technologies and provide administrative assistance for various systems.
  • Understand various IT troubleshooting and provide technical support.
  • Control and monitor data, network access and backup systems.
  • Recruit and mentor junior members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
  • 6 or more years of experience in systems and network management and administration.
  • Experience in designing, setting up and maintaining LAN/WAN, VLAN/VPN, Wireless Network, Firewalls.
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies and Cloud Environment Management (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Experience in server/desktop (Windows/MAC) set up and maintenance.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining software packages including but not limited to: Vonage, Zendesk, Zendesk Sell, Restaurant 365, Netsuite, Clickup, Google Suite, Atlassian Suite, Adobe.
  • Results oriented professional with an ownership mentality and a passion to solve real life problems.
  • Strong technical problem solving and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dedicated, hardworking and hands on IT professional who achieves maximum efficiency and productivity working with the rest of the team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.

Compensation: $120K - $160K annual salary + bonus
