What?
This position is responsible overseeing all aspects of food production during their designated shift, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and production targets.
Main aspects of the role include:

• Provide strong leadership and direction to the production team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Plan and organize production schedules, allocate resources effectively, and oversee the execution of production plans to meet quality, quantity, and efficiency targets.
• Identify training needs and provide coaching and support to production staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in food manufacturing processes, food safety, and hygiene practices.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and oversee preventive maintenance activities, troubleshoot equipment issues, and minimize downtime to ensure smooth production operations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), production metrics, and quality parameters to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

You!
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering or related field is preferred with experience in food manufacturing and at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. This candidate should have in depth knowledge of food safety regulations (ex: FDA, USDA, GMP etc) and quality management systems (HAACP, SQF). The individual should have strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. This position does require the ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
