Job description

Shuttle Truck Driver 3rd Shift

This position is responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of parts and accessories between branch stores and the Caterpillar depot on schedule while adhering to company safety regulations as well as state and federal laws/guidelines. Will be responsible for completing all required documentation and maintenance files. Class A CDL Required, Manual Transmission operation required; minimum 5 years of truck driving experience required. This position will require to work and travel at the following locations: 2/3 of the time in Irving / Fort Worth and 1/3 of the time in Longview. May also work in Waco. Home base will be in Irving, Texas.

This position requires a self-motivated, thoughtful individual with a high energy level. The incumbent of the position must maintain customer satisfaction, as well as reducing the need for our outside carriers.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be qualified, certified, and Class A, CDL licensed for vehicle operation
  • Must be able to acquire and retain a DOT physical/medical card
  • A good driving record required
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial truck driving experience required.
  • Tractor-Trailer Experience preferred
  • Air-brake Endorsement required
  • Manual Transmission Operation required
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a DOT Medical Card
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a MSHA Certification
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a forklift license
  • Must be able to work alone and unsupervised
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs during the shift.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Must demonstrate effective customer relation skills
  • Must adapt to safety culture
  • Must be able to work all shifts but most shifts will be 3rd shift.
  • Must be flexible with duty hours.
