LIV Golf League

LIV Golf Investments is a newly formed company, with group companies in the USA and UK. In 2022, LIV Golf launched the LIV Golf Invitational Series, an eight-event series taking place in the USA, UK, Asia and the Middle East with the world's best golfers competing in an innovative new format featuring simultaneous team and individual play. Each tournament consists of three rounds, 54 holes, no cut and shotgun starts, with players vying for unprecedented prize purses. The team competition, faster pace, family-friendly environment, and festival-style atmosphere delivers a unique tournament experience for both players and fans.

In 2023, the LIV Golf League will officially launch with 48 players and 12 established team franchises competing in a 14-tournament schedule that will expand LIV Golf's global footprint across North and Latin Americas, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and Europe. LIV Golf is the first-ever global golf league committed to the sport's worldwide growth, with enhanced player pathways through the International Series, a ground-breaking series of events launched in 2022 through the Asian Tour. The League is also dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of communities through LIV to Give, LIV Golf's global impact platform announced in June with a $100 million commitment to develop and support social and environmental initiatives in tournament host communities around the world.

Role Objective:

Reporting directly to the Team's General Manager, the Director of Team Operations serves a critical support role. This position oversees and executes ongoing operational requirements, ensuring operational excellence is delivered in all aspects of the organization. Candidates must be comfortable wearing multiple hats, as contributions are expected across player relations, travel management, event logistics, business operations, partnership management, retail support, and strategic alignment. Success in the role requires a deep understanding of the golf industry and LIV Golf League's structure, culture, and operational dynamics.

Responsibilities:

• Player Relations
  • Ensure Players and Caddies receive a world-class tournament experience and have everything they need to compete at the highest level.
  • Coordinate Player participation for media, content creation, service days, and impact initiatives, ensuring Players are aware and deliver upon commitments.
  • In partnership with the Strategic Advisor, create an environment to build and maintain Team morale across the Players, Caddies, and Agents.
• Travel
  • Manage all aspects of Team travel, booking and arranging flights, visas, transport, and accommodations for Players, Caddies, Team staff, and other guests invited by the Team.
  • Ensure all Team travel is executed in line with the Team's approved travel plan, the Team's ravel budget, and the Team Rules and Policies.
  • Collate and file expenses using the Team's expense reporting system.
  • Provide the Strategic Advisor with timely updates and reconciliations of all travel costs.

• Event Logistics
  • Ensure all onsite logistics needs are met for the Players, Caddies, Team staff, partners, prospects, and other guests. This includes but is not limited to coordinating ticket requests, hospitality, credentials, and gifting; securing meeting space and catering; and managing invitations and RSVPs. All aspects of event logistics must be executed at the highest level while adhering to approved budgets and compliance requirements.
  • Work with the LIV event delivery team to plan and execute the operational requirements of on-site fan engagement, impact, and hospitality initiatives.

• Business Operations
  • Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of 'League Rules and Regulations' and 'Team Rules and Policies,' ensuring Team operations always comply with all requirements.
  • Support the Strategic Advisor's management of the Team's cost structure, ensuring all actions taken by the Team are in-budget and in policy.
  • Led the reconciliation of all team credit card activity.
• Support the Strategic Advisor with all Team reporting requirements, ensuring reports are delivered complete, accurate, and timely.
• Provide the Strategic Advisor with operational support for Team Board meetings, including but not limited to scheduling meetings, creating the meeting agenda, and preparing board materials.
• Lead internal communications across the Team, ensuring employees, contractors, Players, Caddies, and Agents are informed, aligned, and engaged.
• Support other departments, such as sales, marketing, impact, and social media, as requested.
• Partnership Management
  • Assist the Strategic Advisor with developing and implementing partnership management plans to increase partner satisfaction, drive revenue, and enhance the Team's brand.
  • Ensure all partner deliverables are fulfilled at the highest level, working closely with internal stakeholders, the League, and partners to meet and exceed operational expectations.
  • Assisted with the operational planning and execution of exclusive Team experiences throughout the season.

• Retail
  • Provide logistical support for the Team's retail strategy.

• Strategy
  • Support the Strategic Advisor in executing the Team's strategic vision, ensuring activities across the organization align with and advance the Team's business objectives.
  • Develop strong relationships with the Team Captain and Players to ensure buy-in and focus on strategy and success.
  • Play an integral role in shaping and delivering upon the Team's short- and long-term goals by actively contributing ideas and proposals to the Strategic Advisor for consideration.
