  • The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about the arts / larger creative arena with a particular interest in operations and logistics. Previous experience within the commercial art world is not required, but is a plus.

About the Opportunity:

Operations Manager | $125-135k

  • David Zwirner seeks an Operations Manager for immediate hire for our New York galleries / locations. This is a unique and dynamic opportunity for an experienced operations professional.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee New York facilities teams and office management across sites (including local headquarters) – ensuring that overall aesthetics + maintenance remain exemplary and that daily workplace needs are met
  • Maintain all office equipment (e.g., computer hardware, printers / copiers, phone systems) and related contracts
  • Oversee general office, stationery and pantry supplies for all office locations; systematizing and streamlining processes wherever possible
  • Work closely with gallery's third-party IT provider to maintain all IT and telecommunication services; troubleshoot select day-to-day issues as they arise
  • Oversee computer hardware purchases and upgrades, including tablets, printers, and phones
  • Manage internal 'help desk' ticketing system; always seeking to evolve and improve it and other digital tools
  • Work alongside Facilities and Human Resources to manage employee onboarding + offboarding
  • Oversee ordering of furniture and fixtures, including office workstations and reconfigurations
  • Maintain compliance with NYC building codes and fire safety regulations
  • Review select monthly expenditures and manage related budgets
  • Main point of contact for all NY security and fire alarm systems
  • Interview and recruit all Facilities team hires
  • Obtain, update, and file valid Certificates of Insurance for all on-site vendors
  • Manage select expense reports and time-cards

What we would like you to have:

  • The ideal candidate will have 5- 10 years of related experience
  • Personable demeanor with the ability to communicate across departments
  • Strong customer focus and problem-solving
  • Experience overseeing multiple tasks / projects / sites
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills
