Job Description

Sila’s goal is to transform the financial landscape by creating an open-access financial network with a stable cryptocurrency at its core. We want to help developers and entrepreneurs bring their fintech ideas to market quicker and easier by incorporating compliant processes and making money programmable. Although our platform already handles significant transaction volume, Sila is poised for its next growth phase and is looking for a Product Manager to help grow our products during this exciting period.

As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing the strategy and requirements for our products and services, partnering with engineering and user interface design teams to build the best-in-class financial services and products. You will contribute to a highly successful, multi-year product roadmap while performing market and competitive research, key to delivering successful results. As our main product is developer-centric, you should be highly technical, but have significant experience in user interface design and enterprise back-office software such as CRM, ERP, BI, reporting, accounting, compliance, and anti-fraud systems. End-to-end user experience for both external and internal users is extremely important; you bring a significant experience in user workflows and journeys. In addition, we prefer you to have experience in working with data science teams in building machine learning models to help us build cutting edge anti-fraud and analytics platforms.

To be successful in this role, it would be helpful if you have:
  • At least 5+ years of demonstrated product experience (preferably with 2-3 years as a software engineer) with deep payments / consumer finance industry knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to building a global product roadmap in the fintech/consumer finance space
  • Excellence in product specifications, requirements gathering, business analysis, process, and measurement of results (KPI/OKR)
  • Demonstrated experience launching a product in the fintech/consumer finance space
  • Strong technical background with the ability to dive into technical details as needed
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams including marketing, engineering, operations, compliance, fraud, and data science
  • Ability to provide clear product vision to product and engineering teams with milestones
  • Ability to contribute consistently and positively in a fast-paced work environment
  • Upbeat and collaborative teammate who thrives with independent responsibilities and when crafting the future of global payments
  • Analytical and technical problem solver who is data driven, with a can-do attitude and flexibility to accommodate to evolving business needs
  • Strong ability to juggle between strategy, execution and operational activities
  • Strong communications, negotiation and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent experience.

In this role, you’ll be eligible for:
  • Expected salary is $120,000 - 165,000, depending on relevant experience.

This position is based in the United States remotely, or from our headquarters in Portland, OR. International applicants are not being accepted at this time.
