Job description

Lead Financial Systems Risk Management Analyst

The Lead Financial Systems Risk Management Analyst will be responsible for the strategy, execution, design, development, support, reinforcement of Financial Systems Risks and Segregation of Duties.

This position plays a dual role within the organization. As a strategic advisor, this role is empowered by the Senior Management team to oversee and mitigate financial and security risks across critical enterprise systems. This includes designing and implementing effective controls for segregation of duties, sensitive access, and compliance for ongoing systems such as Oracle Cloud ERP, EPM, SCM, Workday, BisTrack, Mortgage Cadence, Kyriba, etc. The position involves close collaboration with various business units to develop and maintain a balanced security framework that minimizes risk while ensuring operational functionality.

On the functional side, this role focuses on enhancing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle Cloud ERP modules focusing on FCC, either as primary or back up support. The role provides back up support for EDM and minor configurations for PCM.

Lead Financial Systems Risk Management Analyst Duties

  • Lead the strategy, design, and ongoing governance of segregation of duties, sensitive access, and compliance controls across enterprise financial systems, including Oracle Cloud ERP, EPM, SCM, OTM, Workday, Kyriba, Mortgage Cadence, BisTrack, and other inscope platforms.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management and business leaders on financial systems risk, access governance, and control effectiveness.
  • Provide the strategic vision on how to design and maintain controls that mitigate financial and security risk while enabling effective business operations.
  • Oversee and monitor SoD risk using governance tools (e.g., FastPath), ensure adherence to the approved enterprise ruleset, and lead remediation efforts when risks are identified.
  • Manage and monitor IT General Controls (ITGC) compliance and audit readiness, including access reviews, control documentation, and responses to audit and risk inquiries.
  • Lead the design, build, testing, quality assurance, and maintenance of custom and stacked Oracle roles for Oracle Cloud Financials and Supply Chain Management across current and future rollouts.
  • Oversee rolebased provisioning processes across ERP, EPM, SCM, OTM, and related systems, ensuring compliance with SoD and access governance requirements.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for access request processing and provisioning activities, including submission and coordination of access tickets.
  • Lead and support initiatives to enhance and automate provisioning and access management processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and control.
  • Advise and train Oracle Solution Administration and related teams on role design standards, security practices, and control expectations.
  • Provide guidance on role development and security design for newly implemented systems resulting from modernization initiatives or acquisitions.
  • Lead or support the design, configuration, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of Oracle EPM modules, with primary focus on Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC).
  • Provide backup functional support for additional EPM modules, including Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Planning, and Budgeting, as needed.
  • Configure workflows and master data management (MDM) structures to support consistent enterprise processes, governance, and standardized information flows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and businessprocess issues related to Oracle EPM and financial systems functionality.
  • Validate and test configurations related to Oracle monthly and quarterly updates to ensure continued compliance, stability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead and coordinate testing, implementation, and training efforts related to ERP and EPM upgrades, enhancements, and changes that impact roles, access, or controls.
  • Assess and mitigate security, access, and SoD impacts resulting from system changes, enhancements, or new functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, Technology, Internal Audit, and business SMEs to align system controls with evolving business processes.
  • Lead or contribute to enterprise projects involving financial systems risk, governance, process improvement, or system implementation.
  • Review and provide input on Continuing Professional Education (CPE) program content for relevance and accuracy related to financial systems and controls.
  • Lead innovation and brainstorming on broader governance initiatives, stakeholder communications, and organizational change efforts related to financial systems risk and compliance.
