Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies. You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.

Work you'll do

As a Project - Analyst, Controllership on the Controllership and Treasury Transformation team, you will be responsible for:

  • Prepare and support General Property, Plant, and Equipment (GPP&E) and inventory valuation packages to support audit readiness and financial reporting.
  • Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliations across financial and logistics systems; investigate variances and resolve issues within condensed reporting timelines.
  • Design and execute risk assessments and perform substantive testing in accordance with the Financial Audit Manual (FAM); document results in a clear, supportable manner.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain supporting documentation, investigate discrepancies, track remediation activities, and develop written deliverables and presentations for leadership.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools such as Python, Power Query, and Structured Query Language (SQL) to transform and analyze large datasets and support peak reconciliation and reporting cycles, which may include evening or weekend work.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • 1+ years of experience supporting audit readiness, financial statement audits, internal controls, financial reporting, or remediation activities, including reconciliations, variance analysis, risk assessments, and audit documentation
  • 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Excel and at least one data analysis tool such as Python, Power Query, or Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Ability to work on-site in Prince George County, Maryland up to 5 days per week
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Experience preparing General Property, Plant, and Equipment (GPP&E) and inventory valuation packages
  • Experience performing reconciliations across financial and logistics systems
  • Experience conducting testing in accordance with the Financial Audit Manual (FAM)
  • Experience developing written deliverables and presentations for leadership and stakeholders

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Maryland, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Maryland and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,200 to $105,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
