Job description

Our client, a growing and innovative organization, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its collaborative Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical finance professional looking to broaden their FP& A experience while partnering with leaders across the business to support strategic decision-making.


This hybrid position requires working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the Boston office.


What You'll Do

As a Financial Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting the organization's financial planning and business performance by:

  • Building financial models and performing scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Preparing financial reports, dashboards, and KPI analysis for leadership.
  • Conducting variance analysis and identifying trends that drive business performance.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to evaluate business initiatives and provide financial insights.
  • Supporting process improvements and helping automate financial reporting.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Corporate Financial Analyst or FP& A role.
  • Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, including journal entries, accruals, and revenue recognition.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups, Conditional Formatting, and Charts.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains (GP), NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience within education, publishing, or another corporate environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to business leaders.
