Industrial Engineer

Carolina Industrial Staffing is seeking to hire a qualified and capable Industrial Engineer for one of our premier manufacturing clients in the West Columbia / Cayce area. Qualifications:

• Engineering degree or a related field; Bachelor's plus 5+ years of relevant experience OR high school diploma/GED plus 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years plant operations experience
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing (Kanban, 5s, Kaizen etc.), Make or Buy analyses and run a Cost Saving Program.
• Strong and innovative Team-Player working together with the Manufacturing staff, Controlling and the Production Planning department.
• Strong math, analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
• Strong expertise using the full suite of Microsoft Office Tools
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Ability to work well with other people and demonstrate team player behavior.
• Must possess and demonstrate good written and communication skills.
• Local candidates are preferred (no relocation assistance)

Scope of Work:

• Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using AutoCad
• Make or Buy Analyses to define Core Competences and the best cost-oriented solution.
• Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
• Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
• Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
• Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
• Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost Maintenance of master data for Product changes.
• Problem solving skills.
