Carolina Industrial Staffing is seeking to hire a qualified and capable Industrial Engineer for one of our premier manufacturing clients in the West Columbia / Cayce area. This is a full-time, direct hire position within a fantastic organization. Qualifications:
- Engineering degree or a related field; Bachelor's plus 5+ years of relevant experience OR high school diploma/GED plus 10+ years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years plant operations experience
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing (Kanban, 5s, Kaizen etc.), Make or Buy analyses and run a Cost Saving Program.
- Strong and innovative Team-Player working together with the Manufacturing staff, Controlling and the Production Planning department.
- Strong math, analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
- Strong expertise using the full suite of Microsoft Office Tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Ability to work well with other people and demonstrate team player behavior.
- Must possess and demonstrate good written and communication skills.
- Local candidates are preferred (no relocation assistance)
Scope of Work:
- Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using AutoCad
- Make or Buy Analyses to define Core Competences and the best cost-oriented solution.
- Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
- Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
- Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
- Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
- Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost Maintenance of master data for Product changes.
- Problem solving skills.
