Indotronix is seeking an Industrial Engineer Level 1 ​​​​for an onsite position in Orangeburg, SC
 
Hourly Payrate: $44.37/hr on W2.

Onsite Job: Industrial Engineer 1
Work Location: Orangeburg, SC
Duration: 4+ Months
Shift: Variable, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Primarily 1st shift with business needs supporting observations on all 3 shifts
1-2 weeks of training
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
 
 
Job Description:
Applies basic Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis and decision tools to promote and implement changes in manufacturing, engineering and service operations. 
Develops models, data bases and spreadsheets to analyze data (e.g., statistics, operations research, engineering economics), and provide summary analysis and metrics as directed by higher level employees for consultation to customers (e.g., management, departments, suppliers). 
Applies basic industrial engineering techniques and concepts to product and process design teams throughout all phases of product lifecycle, resulting in a robust product design and work statement that meets program requirements. 
Researches, designs, develops, improves, and implements processes as directed to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts for large scale systems integration and asset utilization. Utilizes engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models, simulation, statistics) to assist in developing optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, equipment) in the creation and validation of products. 
Analyzes and supports the design of the value stream, including capability, capacity (e.g., make/buy, supplier selection, risk analysis, supplier performance), throughput, work flow and logistics (e.g., critical path, lead-time, transportation, factory layout).

Our Industrial Engineering contractors will focus on documenting time standards and processes to focus on production stability. 
This includes observing build processes and recommending process improvements through lean methodologies. 
Candidates will be engaging with all manufacturing, engineering, and production-supporting organizations and should be a self-starter as well as a collaborative team player.
 
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
- Exposure and/or experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and/or production environment
- Experience performing work observations and time studies.
 
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Skilled in effective time management, communication, and organizational skills.
- 1 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles
- Experience developing and deploying standard processes.
 
Describe the project/day-to-day activities they will be working on:
- We are looking to place candidates on daily tasks associated with validating current hours per order/job performance, as well as creating new time standards to be used to implement new scheduling software. 
- Follow on actions will include analyzing value added versus non-value added processes, recommending process improvements, and elevating safety and quality hazards and risks for root-cause investigation.
 
Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
