Civil Assistant Resident Engineer

About Us: Client is a consulting organization recognized for providing high-quality Resident Engineering Inspection, Construction Management, and Civil Design services. Operating across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, we take pride in our dedication to excellence, innovation, and client happiness.

We are now looking for a qualified Civil Assistant Resident Engineer to offer critical support to our Resident Engineer at John F. Kennedy International Airport. This function is critical to maintaining the smooth operation and success of our current airport initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement quality assurance processes and monitor contractor performance on a daily basis.
• Lead and oversee field staff, such as office engineers and construction inspectors.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure timetables are met and quality control procedures are in place.
• Keep detailed records of logs, communications, submittals, change orders, and other important documents.
• Organize and conduct progress meetings for airport facility workers and contractors.
• Oversee the office's engineering activities for assigned projects.

Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in New York is strongly encouraged.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience managing public projects and working with airside utilities.
• OSHA certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
