As the Manager of our new upscale steakhouse, you will be at the forefront of our grand opening, leading a team of passionate professionals to create unforgettable dining experiences that will leave our guests craving more. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Pre-Opening Preparations:

    • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute a comprehensive pre-opening plan, encompassing everything from menu development to staff recruitment and training.
    • Oversee the setup and design of the restaurant space, ensuring that every detail reflects our commitment to elegance, sophistication, and the art of steakhouse dining.

Team Building and Training:

    • Recruit, train, and inspire a team of hospitality professionals, instilling a culture of excellence, teamwork, and unparalleled guest service.
    • Conduct thorough training sessions to familiarize staff with our menu offerings, service standards, and the unique ambiance of our steakhouse.
    • Complete appropriate training listed on the human resources Training Matrix.
    • Adhere to Wheeling Park Commission’s safety rules and policy; refer any and all safety concerns to department manager, safety committee or human resources.
    • Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees.

Guest Experience:

    • Set the stage for extraordinary dining experiences, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed, valued, and pampered from the moment they arrive.
    • Anticipate guest needs and preferences, providing personalized recommendations and creating magical moments that leave a lasting impression.

Operational Excellence:

    • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including inventory management, vendor relations, and financial performance.
    • Implement efficient systems and procedures to optimize productivity, minimize waste, and maximize profitability without compromising on quality or service standards.

Marketing and Promotion:

    • Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute a strategic marketing plan to generate buzz and excitement around our grand opening.
    • Engage with the local community and build relationships with key influencers to drive traffic and establish our steakhouse as a must-visit destination.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in upscale dining establishments, with a minimum of 4 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • A dynamic leader, teacher, and mentor with a passion for innovation, creativity, and pushing the boundaries of culinary excellence.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team and connect with guests on a personal level.
  • Strong business acumen and a track record of driving revenue growth, managing budgets, and achieving financial targets.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to ensure the success of our grand opening.
  • Strong wine and spirits knowledge. Sommelier or similar qualifications preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Four college or university program certificate; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
