A Day in the Life of a Wayfinding Specialist

You develop sign families and wayfinding protocols based on user-centered design principles, feedback from community engagement, and interaction with the physical environment. Your sign concepts include a variety of materials, construction methods, and millwork or signage construction standards.

You use programs such as Adobe Creative Suite and CADD to create design intent concepts, as well as construction document details and submittals to share with fabricators or sign installation contractors.
You pitch in as needed on other urban design, planning, graphic design, and placemaking projects , and are encouraged to explore and grow your interests in designing places for walking, biking, and taking transit.

You help pursue new projects in your home region as well as across our North American offices. Your job can sometimes be challenging, but you get to work with a close-knit team that is passionate about the work and the communities that you serve.
