As a Senior Process Engineer (Sr Engineer, Process), you'll play a pivotal role in providing crucial support for onsite installations and the seamless integration of semiconductor equipment, with a primary focus on driving innovation in the thriving tech hub of Portland, Oregon.

Receive comprehensive training in either Texas or Oregon, tailored to empower you for success, spanning a flexible period of 1-3 months.

This role demands your full-time dedication at designated offices, worksites, and territories, offering you the chance to lead advancements in technology and shape the future of innovation firsthand. Join us and be part of the forefront of technological evolution.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate in team and independent settings to support company equipment process qualification, development, and integration projects. • Play a pivotal role in pioneering new wafer fabrication process technology for semiconductor device manufacturing. • Conduct tests, analyze data, and present findings. • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing processes. • Conduct thorough evaluations of new hardware and software. • Identify and resolve issues in collaboration with the technical team. • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. • Independently engage with customers, ensuring high-quality interactions.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: PhD with 5 yrs or Master's with 8 yrs in Mechanical, Electrical, Applied Math, or Applied Physics. • Proficiency in Linux for system operation and troubleshooting. • Preferred: Hands-on mechanical skills; required: hands-on experience with electronic testing tools. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in challenging situations. • Bonus: Experience in optics, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanics, or chemical. • Strong troubleshooting, verbal and written communication skills. • Bonus: Customer support experience. • Flexibility for travel and flexible schedules. • Comfortable in a cleanroom environment, wearing protective gear. • May require domestic travel with valid driver's license and clean record. • Physical requirements: standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motion, lifting up to 25 lbs. • Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods, effective communication skills, and mental alertness.

Must have:

  • PhD with 5 years of relevant experience, or master's degree with 8 years of engineering experience. Degrees in Mechanical, Electrical, Applied Mathematics, or Applied Physics are applicable.
  • Strong background and experience in semiconductor process engineering, including process qualification, development, and improvement.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting equipment using Linux systems
  • Practical experience with mechanical skills and electronic testing tools, essential for equipment operation and troubleshooting

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge or experience in areas such as optical systems, lasers, robotics, or chemical processes can be advantageous.
