Director of School Based Services

CareSTL Health is currently seeking a Director of School-Based Services to ensure the successful coordination and operation of all school-based health center locations.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of School-Based Services & Community Partnerships helps promote access to
high-quality care in a School-Based Health Clinic setting within but not limited to: Jennings,
Ritenour, Riverview Gardens, and Hazelwood School Districts. This position is responsible for ensuring
the successful coordination and operation of all school-based health center locations. This position has
responsibility for demonstrating the core values of CareSTL Health: Customer Service,

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict
the tasks that may be assigned. The Director of School-Based Services & Community
Partnerships may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable
accommodation or other staffing reasons.

1. Works closely with school personnel, and other key community partners and stakeholders to
launch, and manage school-based health center access points
2. Monitors financial performance and works to ensure that all school-based access points are
financially sustainable
3. Monitors and ensures that clinical and operational performance goals are achieved across all
school-based access points
4. Develops policies, procedures, and workflows to support operational outcome goals for all school
based health center locations
5. Responsible for ensuring compliance with rules and regulations that impact school-based health
center operations, including participation in audits and the development and implementation of
Corrective Action Plans

Other Functions
• Create, analyze and present data and reports as relevant to school based health center operations
• Identifies, creates and manages new community partnerships and collaboration opportunities
• Performs general support activities and carries out special projects, and other assignments as
required
• Create a quality orientation program to effectively onboard new staff

• Meet regularly with the School-Based Based Health Services staff and participate in quarterly meetings
with School District partners
• Creates/updates processes as needed
• Maintains current level of job-related skills by attending meetings and training sessions
• Responsible for annual staff evaluations and approving staff time for payroll
• Hire, train and develop new staff

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Social Work
Experience:
• 3-4 years of experience in K-12 school environments, community-based health centers, or
related program operations preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong business and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze/troubleshoot complex information
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of effective management practices and principles
• Effective collaboration, networking, and negotiation skills
• Advanced computer software navigation skills

Additional Employment Requirements: (pre-employment/annual)
• Copy of High School Diploma or GED, and/or official copy of college or university transcripts
• Current Registration with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry
• Annual PPD or Chest X-Ray

Additional Information:

• Clinic hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
