Position Summary
The Assistant Registrar is responsible for the audit of undergraduate degree plans, verification and accuracy of data input into the student academic record, and the communication of deliverables of the Office of the Registrar. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Obtains and audits degree plans. Notifies advisors and students of remaining graduation requirements. Counsels and assists students in reaching degree completion. Performs data entry into shared databases to track and report student impact of team operations. Develops queries to gather, correct, and/or update information as needed.
Provides training and guidance to the Registrar Staff by providing and reviewing work plans, timeframes, deadlines, and/or general instructions. Performs quality control of work performed to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with instructions or established policies and procedures. Collaborates with other members of the Office of the Registrar and campus partners to further departmental vision. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of Google Workplace and Microsoft Office software applications. Knowledge of database management and basic accounting principles. Ability to conduct research and perform basic quantitative quality assurance reviews. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, resources, and materials associated with the needs of the department or program. Work closely with Academic Advising, Athletic Advising, departments, and students, and ability to counsel students and families.

Required Education and/or Experience
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and two years of experience in higher education administration. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Familiarity with UCA academic programs. Familiarity with UCA campus software such as Banner and Degree Works.

The Arkansas Division of Workforce Services (ADWS) is the state agency responsible for providing job-related services to unemployed state residents, such as coordinating training and educational opportunities, processing unemployment insurance claims, and connecting job seekers with employment opportunities in the state.
