Job Summary:

Will assist by helping serve the firm’s diverse client base in a wide variety of matters (e.g., complex business and real estate disputes, employment and partnership matters, construction, personal injury).

Required Skills/Abilities – 5-15 years’ experience:

  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in all aspects of litigation including discovery, depositions, motion practice and trial. 
  • Experience investigating claims, preparing and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, interacting with expert witnesses, and all aspects of motion practice.
  • Able to prepare for, take, and defend depositions, and have prior experience in drafting dispositive, expert, and/or discovery motions.
  • Actively licensed and in good standing with the Ohio State Bar Association.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • A desire to maintain and develop long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with medical cases and reviewing medical records.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Ability to handle settlement negotiations throughout the lifecycle of a case.
  • Ability to supervise and delegate work to paralegals and other legal support staff.
  • Ability to stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
