We are currently accepting applications from recently licensed attorneys to train as a Tax Resolution Attorney. based out of our headquarters office in the heart of Chicago's Loop. Our comprehensive training, tremendous collaborative team and hybrid work structure make this a tremendous opportunity for a Junior level licensed attorney interested in a career in Tax.

Job Summary:

This position requires a self-starter with the ability to think and work independently with some working knowledge in state and federal tax law, and capacity for understanding financial concepts You and your team represent taxpayers on resolution matters through negotiations with the IRS, and state taxing authorities. This includes but is not limited to submitting/negotiating IRS Offers in Compromise, Innocent Spouse requests, Penalty Abatement requests, Installment Agreements defense of seizure actions, Appeals, and more. It is challenging but rewarding work as we provide life changing results for our clients in a fast paced, high-volume environment.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Investigate and diagnose a client's individual and/or business tax problems
Draft solution-oriented recommendations, addressing specific clients' tax issues on a consistent basis
Use strong analytical ability to conduct tax related research
Regular communication with the IRS, to properly assess client's individual and business tax issues
Manage case files in a productive, efficient, and organized manner
Professionally communicate with clients on an as needed basis
Work collaboratively with all members of the team: Case Managers, Sales Associates, Tax Preparers, and fellow Practitioners to achieve best possible resolution
Bilingual Fluency in English / Spanish a plus but not required

Significant post Law School experience NOT required as we provide comprehensive training – However you MUST be licensed.

Ideal is an entry level licensed Attorney with some tax or accounting/finance experience or education
Tax Clinic experience while in Law School a plus
Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Outlook

Education and Other Requirements:

JD from an accredited Law School (licensed Enrolled Agent may qualify with equivalent education and/or experience)
Evidence of strong interest in Tax
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills and engaging client facing demeanor
Ideal candidate will have a strong desire to develop and grow in the field of taxation
Able to balance a high volume work load
Strong attention to detail
Self-motivated and able to adapt to change
