Job Title: Director of Operations

Role Description:

The Director of Operations is responsible for leading and facilitating highly effective Coop Group Meetings (whether virtually or in-person) with the purpose of driving market share growth within the region. This individual will lead the group through strategic concepts and market dynamics to ensure there is alignment and adequate resource deployment & utilization within the group. Additionally, the Coop Facilitator will foster an environment that leans heavily on the “20%” to drive all members towards the $2M Model. This is a “high-visibility” role within the company that understands how to influences behavior to transition from planning & strategy to flawless execution.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct monthly and/or quarterly meetings either through video or in-person (a minimum of one meeting per year must be in-person)
  • Maintain radical enthusiasm for “the floor” and adherence to the $2M Model to influence behavior
  • Prepare for each meeting with compelling content to gain commitment while fully understanding the needs of the “20%” to present the desired resource(s)
  • Become fully versed in all available Coop Resources and their impact on the group
  • Establish and maintain a leadership role within the group to deliver an impactful and consistent meeting experience
  • Create a sense of community where group members share & learn from each other
  • Foster an environment of transparency & accountability to enhance group dynamics
  • Apply critical thinking to turn complex challenges into actionable steps to meet group objectives
  • Conduct individual coaching (as needed) with the “20%”
  • Reinforce the concept that franchisees are “the who”

What Abilities & Skills You’ll Need:

*Ability to build trust and rapport, and to articulate content clearly and cohesively to obtain consensus on group purpose

*Ability to foster collaboration and communication, leads the coordination of meetings, creates the agenda, facilitates group meetings and initiatives

*Ability to live capture of meeting discussions/decisions and able to summarize/share information within the company for alignment, clarity, and understanding

*Ability to exude confidence, assertiveness, and steadfast focus on group goal attainment

*Ability to maintain a positive approach & mindset regardless of the situation

*Ability to “read” the audience, analyze the situation, and obtain consensus

*Ability to influence and engage with group members to gain “buy-in” to recommend

the appropriate company resource utilization and deployment

*Ability to obtain effective “action items” from each meeting

*Ability to innovate, and bring forth proactive ideas for the continuous improvement of the Regional Coop Program

What Qualifications Set You Apart:

  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50% of the time)
  • A Bachelors' or Masters' Degree (preferred) from an accredited school
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with entrepreneurs & small business owners
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Franchising (preferably in home improvement)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ of experience with the leadership & facilitation of Regional Coop Groups
  • Highly organized, independent motivated leader with proven ability to multi-task
  • Strong skills in managing group dynamics as well as problem-solving, conflict resolution, and team building
  • High sense of urgency, and assertiveness to provide appropriate recommendations or to redirect group journey
  • Competent at making observations and recognizing when interactions, situations, or group dynamics change
  • Excellent communication, time-management, and decision-making skills
