This is a full-time, benefitted position. This is an on-site role at our Fairfax Business Office, located in Fairfax, Virginia (free parking on-site).
Who you are:
As the Director of Revenue Cycle for Fairfax Radiology Centers, you understand the importance of having processes in place to have accurate patient and insurance billing, audits in place to identify areas of improvement, while at the same time understanding the impact your work as on the patient.
What you’ll do:
- Plans and directs the patient and insurance billing, collections, and data processing to ensure accurate billing and efficient account collection.
- Manages within the established budget including annual planning and develops monthly status reports. Initiates corrective action in response to significant variances.
- Reviews status of patient accounts to identify and resolve billing and processing problems in a timely manner.
- Establishes and implements a system for the collection of delinquent accounts ensuring third-party payers are contacted.
- Works with the Coding Manager to identify coding for new procedures and monitors new coding for reimbursement data.
- Works with the Center department managers to identify rejection trends and works with other managers to develop a plan to improve quality of data obtained from sites.
- Develops standards of productivity for all personnel supervised. Monitors productivity and ensures standards are met.
- Establishes and recommends credit and collection policies. Makes recommendations for improvement.
- Solves difficult payment and associated billing office problems. Audits problem accounts.
- Able to establish and ensure positive working relationship with Provider reps for all contracted payors.
What you’ll bring:
- 7+ years’ experience in healthcare business office experience (Revenue Cycle)
- 5+ years’ progressive leadership experience with administrative and budgetary responsibilities.
- Knowledge of third-party and insurance company operating procedures, regulations and billing requirements and government reimbursement programs.
- Strong knowledge of Payor credentialing requirements preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
- Additional appropriate experience can be substituted for education.
- Ability to conceptualize workflow, develop plans, and implement appropriate actions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
