Job description

The Director of Revenue Cycle Consulting is a senior leadership position responsible for leading complex revenue cycle transformation, performance improvement, and operational optimization engagements for healthcare organizations. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to executive clients, oversee the successful delivery of consulting engagements, develop high-performing teams, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm's revenue cycle consulting practice.
The ideal candidate will bring significant healthcare consulting experience and a comprehensive understanding of revenue cycle operations across hospitals, health systems, physician enterprises, and other healthcare organizations. This leader must be capable of translating complex operational and financial challenges into practical strategies that improve cash performance, reduce administrative burden, strengthen accountability, and create sustainable results.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex revenue cycle consulting engagements from assessment through implementation.
  • Conduct comprehensive revenue cycle assessments to identify operational, financial, workforce, and technology improvement opportunities.
  • Lead revenue cycle technology selection initiatives, including requirements development, vendor evaluation, demonstrations, scoring, and implementation planning.
  • Advise executive leaders on revenue cycle strategy, performance improvement, and operating model transformation.
  • Develop actionable recommendations that improve cash flow, reduce denials, increase productivity, and strengthen the patient financial experience.
  • Manage engagement scope, timelines, budgets, risks, deliverables, and client expectations.
  • Lead consulting teams and ensure the delivery of high-quality, executive-ready work.
  • Support business development through client expansion, proposal development, and solution design.
