Director of Business Development

US or EU Remote - Full-Time

As the Director of Business Development, your mission will be to propel our business forward by forging strong partnerships with pharmaceutical companies. Whether it's securing new clients or expanding our reach with existing ones, you'll be at the forefront of driving growth and innovation. This dynamic role not only presents an opportunity to shape Sidekick's future but also to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare landscape.

This role will be in our Pharma Business Team and reports directly to the VP of Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a dynamic sales funnel targeting digital health, commercial, clinical, and medical affairs leaders.
  • Take ownership of our selling process, including CRM management, to guide opportunities from lead to closure.
  • Conduct customer presentations both in-person and virtually, coordinating closely with the product and clinical teams.
  • Exceed revenue and customer acquisition targets by identifying needs, crafting business plans, and leading negotiations with key accounts.
  • Provide accurate revenue forecasts in collaboration with the finance team on a quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with prospective and existing customers, advocating for their needs internally across various departments.
  • Represent us at industry events, webinars, and trade shows to showcase our offerings.
  • Develop expertise in the marketplace, our solutions, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with product development to ensure our solutions meet market needs and user feedback.
  • Engage directly with Key Opinion Leaders to raise awareness and gather evidence for our offerings.


Requirements
  • 5+ years of sales experience in med-tech, pharma, digital health, or clinical technology sectors.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, MedTech, or large CRO settings, with exposure to the entire lifecycle of life sciences product development from R&D to commercialization.
  • Proven track record of selling disruptive technologies in complex sales environments, adept at navigating multiple stakeholders through lengthy sales processes.
  • Experience collaborating with Pharma, biopharma, CROs, and Medical Device companies.
  • Background in Pharmaceutical or MedTech commercialization, Market Access, HEOR, Sales, or Marketing.
  • Established relationships and/or extensive work history within the pharmaceutical, medtech, and life sciences industry.
  • Preferably, expertise in MSA and contracting.
  • Strong written, verbal, and storytelling abilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Understanding of privacy and compliance regulations in the digital health industry.
  • Capable of managing multiple concurrent sales opportunities in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for client visits, company events, and industry engagements.
