Job Description

PDQ Skilled Trades is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for the Fort Worth Area.

Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatic's and basic electrical knowledge is a plus. Must have prior maintenance experience or similar skills (machinists, auto mechanics and agricultural maintenance are considered similar). Applicants who have worked 4 or more jobs in the last 2 years need not apply.

Duties:
• Perform all necessary repairs for the facility including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as building and grounds.
• Examine equipment to diagnose source of trouble.
• Dismantle or partly dismantle machines and perform repairs.
• Replace broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock.
• Assist with the inventory of replacement parts.
• Rebuild repair parts.
• Preform preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Report any faulty or inefficient equipment and schedule for repair.
• Provide support to production personnel by answering breakdown assistance calls.
• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide solutions.

Requirements:
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Ability to operate various hand & power tools.
• Ability to stand throughout the shift.
• Ability to operate a forklift truck.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
