Pay Rate: $38.50 / hour
We have partnered with a large aviation organization in the Georgetown, TX area to provide them with an A&P Aircraft Mechanic. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the A&P Aircraft Mechanic:
#1. FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required at the time of hire. Must be able to obtain Inspection Authorization (IA) within three months of hire.
#2. Minimum 3 recent and consecutive years of General Aviation (GA) experience as a certificated A&P Mechanic.
#3. Hands on experience troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and returning aircraft to service in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
#4. Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives with working knowledge of FAA Title 14 Parts 43 and 91.
#5. Experience making aircraft logbook entries, releasing aircraft for return to service, and working independently while managing workflow and priorities.
Responsibilities for the A&P Aircraft Mechanic:
The A&P Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on flight school aircraft while ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and applicable FAA regulations. This position performs aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, return to service activities, and maintenance documentation while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain aircraft.
  • Perform maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, parts catalogs, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
  • Complete aircraft logbook entries.
  • Release aircraft for return to service.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Work flexible shifts as needed.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and learn the Talon RMS maintenance program.
  • Work independently while managing workflow and changing priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA Title 14 Parts 43 and 91.

Requirements for the A&P Aircraft Mechanic:
Education
  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience
  • Minimum 3 recent and consecutive years of General Aviation experience as a certificated A&P Mechanic.
  • Piper aircraft experience preferred.
  • Garmin G1000 experience is a plus.
  • Aircraft maintenance experience preferred.

Other Key Requirements:
  • 100% on site
  • No Visa or Sponsorships. No Corp-to-Corp.
  • This is a full time, five day per week position.
