Medicare Supplement Manager

Are you an ambitious, hard-working professional who thrives on developing organizations from the ground up? The newly created role titled Medicare Supplement Manager will be a true business partner. This position will lead the effort to create the Medicare Supplement department of an established, online life insurance brokerage firm.  The ideal candidate will thrive as a change agent with the ability to influence strategy and business decisions while creating streamlined processes. Must be a self-starter skilled in all facets of Medicare Supplement selling.

 

Key Responsibilities

•         Develop and execute a comprehensive, strategic sales plan.

•         Partner with IT to set requirements needed to build out the product specific sales journeys.

•         Deliver monthly and annual sales targets and track progress of the Sales Team.

•         Effectively develop and manage carrier relationships.

•         Partner with the Marketing Department on lead generation strategy and analysis.

•         Ensure that Sales Team complies with regulations specific to Medicare products, carrier guidelines, and State and Federal laws.

•         Recommend product offering to strengthen competitive advantage in the marketplace.

•         Collaborate with Leadership Team to develop sales strategy and short-term/long-term financial forecasts.

•         Establish Bonus Plans for the Medicare Sales Department.

•         Perform industry and competitor research to understand best practices and industry trends.

•         Serve as subject matter expert and provide guidance to the team.

•         Perform regular call audits and training of Sales Team.

•         Continuously look for ways to drive improvement.

The Medicare Supplement Consultant should demonstrate competence in some or all of the following:

  • Plan: Determine strategies to create and implement the department, set goals, create and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results.
  • Solve Problems: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.

 

Experience and Education:

·         3 to 5 years of Medicare Supplement sales

·         3 to 5 years of Departmental responsibility

·         3 to 5 years of Call Center experience

·         Life Insurance industry experience preferred

·         Life & Health Insurance Producer License

 

Regulatory Requirements:

·         Detailed knowledge of State and Federal statutes and regulations as they pertain to Medicare guidelines.

Complete understanding of all Health Plan Medicare Division products and benefits.
