If so, we have an exciting opportunity as a Clinical Program Manager at Parry Center for Children in Portland, OR.

About the Opportunity:

  • Master's degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work is required.
  • 40/hours week; Monday - Friday
Salary Starts at:
  • Unlicensed, starting at $77,980 (Depending on Experience).
  • Licensed, starting at $84,480 Depending on experience).

Position is responsible for managing assigned programs and overseeing activities in assigned programs to ensure the safety, security, and most effective treatment of clients, including the assignment and allocation of staff and other resources. Supervises, directs, guides, and consults with program staff in the provision of services. Ensures the timely development of Individual Plans of Care and directs and oversees implementation, review, and revision of the plan. Assesses staff development and training needs and participates with the Vice Presidents of Community and Residential Services, other supervisors and the Human Resource Directors in the development, coordination and presentation of staff training and development activities. Serves as a critical two-way communication link between Trillium Family Services leadership and program staff. Assists in the preparation of, and is accountable for, compliance with budget for the cost center. Partially accountable for control of capital assets, long-range operational and strategic planning. Position may require availability to respond to emergencies. Job is demanding with frequent deadlines, meetings, and interruptions.

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:

  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills conducive to being an effective leader: including ability to provide positive customer service to community teams and families, act as the hub of communication between departments on campus, ability to use creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Supervisory Skills: ability to provide clinical and administrative supervision of assigned staff, providing disciplinary intervention up to and including termination as needed. Supervision should include a focus on developing mastery of their essential duties, responsibilities, and competencies as well as ongoing professional development. Will provide individual and group supervision to all direct reports and maintain documentation of such as per regulatory requirements.
  • Clinical Skills: Ability to complete all tasks outlined in the Child and Family Therapist job description and use clinical judgment to guide and supervise the treatment interventions of clients in the program.
  • Focus on Professional Development: including being licensed or actively working toward licensure, staying current on all required trainings, seeking out additional trainings to improve clinical skills in evidence-based practices, showing a willingness to learn, and demonstrating a commitment to cultural awareness, take the licensure supervisor course to be able to provide clinical supervision.
  • Program Development and Evaluation Skills: Ability to lead and foster skills in staff members to best serve clients in the program and evaluate when changes are necessary for client treatment needs, facilitating supervisory growth in program staff, synthesize clinical and program needs.
  • Training and Teaching Skills: ability to effectively train program staff on interventions, agency protocols, and other critical components of the program, skills, and knowledge to facilitate official agency trainings as appropriate.

  • Master's degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or other field which qualifies the candidate to be a licensed professional counselor, clinical social worker, psychologist, or marriage & family therapist in the State of Oregon
  • Eligible for certification in the State of Oregon as a licensed professional counselor, clinical social worker, psychologist, or marriage & family therapist. Once hired- must agree to register and submit a supervision plan with their applicable licensing board within 3 months from the date of hire to be completed within 24 months.
  • Two (2) years’ experience as a supervisor or manager responsible for supervising five or more employees is preferred.
  • Skills: Emotional Intelligence, Flexibility, Computer, Word Processing and Data Entry

Position directly supervises Treatment Team Supervisors and Child and Family Therapists. Also responsible for the performance of Residential and Day Treatment Skills Trainers, on-call employees, and volunteers. Supervision includes, but is not limited to; training, professional development, conflict resolution, team building, discipline, evaluation, hiring, and staffing determinations.

However, actual compensation will be determined in accordance with the Oregon Equal Pay Law and will take into account factors such as the candidate's relevant experience and education.
