Chemical Compounder

Shift: First
Location: Decatur
Pay: $19-20/hr DOE

Seeking a skilled Compounder to ensure error-free production of product.

• Physically handling the transfer of bulk chemicals (liquid, solid, and powder) from pails, bags, or drums.
• Accurately measuring and calculating chemical additions.
• Monitor assigned batches during processing to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Work with supervisor and chemist to notify of any issues with batches
• Ensure the completion of jobs meeting quality and quantity requirements.
• Cleaning/rinsing mixer and tanks.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records and documents, etc.
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations including department and housekeeping standards.
• Strict attention to detail at all times (following procedures, documentation, equipment usage, chemical handling and storage)
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and free of any safety hazards.
• Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.

Qualifications

• Candidate must read and speak English.
• Candidate must be able to communicate well either by email, phone, text or in person.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years batching experience or being exposed in such a process.
• Candidate must be able to operate a pallet jack.
• Candidate must have good math, writing, and reading skills, and understand match calculations.
• Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Candidate must be able to stand, twist, reach, bend, kneel, squat.
• Candidate must be able to roll a 55-gallon drum and have control of it without dropping it.
• Candidate must be willing to work long hours and weekend as needed.
