Chemical Operator Job description
Our Client provides a wide range of chemicals as well as custom-tailored products for your industry. This position of Chemical Operator needs to be experienced in the transfer of chemical and/or petroleum liquids by truck, rail and tanks.
Job Title: Chemical Operator-Baytown, Tx
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Transloading - loading onto tanks, railcars, and trucks
  • Understand pumps and pipelines
  • Tank gauging, Railcar gauging
  • Tank, Truck, and railcar blending
  • Tote and drum filling and handling
  • Calculate tank fits, railcar and truck loading calibration quantities
  • Report accidents, safety violations, or other concerns related to operations
  • Work with other team members to complete the production process
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of terminal operations experience
  • Understand chemical and petroleum process
  • Aptitude for mechanics
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A desire to work with team members to improve processes and product quality in a fast-paced physically demanding environment.
  • Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing protective gear when necessary.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
  • Meeting physical requirements of the position, including walking, standing, climbing, sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, crouching, operating tools, and wearing safety gear (PPE)
  1. Must have: manufacturing and OSHA warehouse safety experience
Pay $22.00 Hourly
Hours 6:30 am – 3:00 pm (until last job is done) with some days a month of 9AM to 5PM schedule
