Job Description

Harrisburg Office Manager

This is a fast-paced role at a growing company with advancement opportunities. If you are not energized and hungry to be in this type of environment, this role is not a fit for you.

About Abby Care

Our mission is to redefine care for the most vulnerable. The healthcare system is failing the underserved. It's a struggle to find care, to afford care, and to receive quality care.

We are transforming the healthcare experience for low-income families. We are led by a founder who grew up on Medicaid (public insurance) and personally knows the desperation of not being able to afford medically-necessary care. Furthermore, we are transforming traditional caregiver training by utilizing a modern hybrid approach that offers flexibility to caregivers, but also all the necessary structure to comply with existing regulations.

Here, we believe that anything can be achieved through pure will, determination, and grit. We value operators with a similar mindset.

The Role

We're looking for passionate and empathetic hustlers to join us. You'll be working to help bring training and care to real families. Your role is to handle the day-to-day operations of our office in Harrisburg, as well as of our Home Health Aide (HHA) training program.

In this role, you will:

  • Build relationships with families. You'll be in charge of meeting families where they are in the community and sharing information at events, resource fairs, meetups, etc. Your role is critical in making sure more families can get access to care.
  • Support company operations by maintaining office systems, organizing office operations and procedures, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, and reviewing and approving supply requisitions.
  • Keep management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
  • Collaborate with HHA students. You'll assist with the selection process of students and accompany and support students as they begin and traverse through their HHA training program.
  • Develop, secure, and maintain the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the Labs and Clinical portion of training.

The Requirements

  • Must have a valid higher education degree from a college, university, and/or institution.
  • Must currently reside in the Harrisburg area and be able to work from our office every day.
  • Excellent execution skills. You know how to handle complex and cross-functional initiatives, set goals, optimize workflows, and solve problems to get to your goal.
  • Experience in interfacing with different stakeholders. You are used to working with different teams and people.
  • Deep empathy, endless tenacity, charisma, and attention to the finest details.
Our Value Prop to You
  • Highly-competitive compensation with sign-on bonus, and benefits. Our builders are a critical part of our team, and we strive to reflect this through pay.
  • Environment for growth and learning. You will have the opportunity to drive great impact and gain exposure to all functions of the company. At Abby Care, you can flex multiple realms of your interpersonal skills and creativity.
  • An energizing, compassionate team. Our team cares deeply about each other. We strive to elevate and uplift each other in our day-to-day work to do the best for our families. We don't believe in bureaucratic nonsense.

Who We're Looking For

This role would be a fit for you if you have the following:

  • Pride in being the jack-of-all trades.
    • Everyone has heard of the 'a jack of all trades is a master of none' quote. However, what most people missed is the second half of the quote 'a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one'. You know this, and it's your superpower.
  • Execution horsepower.
    • You take pride in getting things done and delivering great work. For teams you work with, you are known for always exceeding expectations and raising the bar for yourself and for everyone else.
  • Down-to-earth interpersonal skills.
    • You know how to relate and talk to anyone and everyone. You're effective, convincing, and trusting when communicating with others.
  • Compassion for underserved families.
    • You truly view this as an opportunity to help the most vulnerable. Low-income families are often turned away from care and treated with little respect in healthcare. You're fired up to flip this narrative!
  • Team-player and beginner's mindset.
    • You thrive in a team and are willing to learn. You are willing to admit mistakes and have an open mindset to new avenues of problem-solving.
  • Force of nature.
    • You take extreme ownership. There are no tasks or problems that are beneath you - even the most unsexy, complex of problems.

If you're passionate and excited about delivering life-changing care to families in need, working with a tight-knit team, and making an impact, don't hesitate to apply. One small action can always change an entire trajectory.

This is a role for people who are hungry and ready to roll-up their sleeves.
