Position: HR Coordinator Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
- Recruiting- Collect completed paperwork, route for approval, post the position in ADP, load resumes as received if requested, schedule phone screens/interviews if requested (travel, when applicable), conduct phone screens if applicable, collect reference checks, coordinate job offer form, create offer letter, and manage through offer acceptance.
- Preemployment - coordinate with the HR team before initiating pre-employment process for new hires including pre-employment screenings, IT equipment requests, etc.
- Conduct orientations, prepare company presentations and product memos, and prepare onboarding materials to ensure that new hires experience a seamless onboarding process.
- Serve as a point person for all new employee questions.
- File New Hire paperwork into ADP file and HR folders.
- Enter the new hires in the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) database for tracking of child support.
- Process E-Verify within first three days of employment for new hires.
- Create and maintain requisitions in ADP and submit requested online job postings.
- Employee Status Changes- Enter promotions, status changes, title changes/ salary/ rate increases after final approval.
- HR Reporting - Diversity Stats, 401k Summary, Birthdays and Tenure for Newsletters, COBRA Reports (when applicable), all other ADP/Benefit Reporting
- Process terminations and ensure all tasks are completed on the Terminations checklist.
- Enter terminations in the Louisiana Workforce Commission online database.
- Enter Benefit elections into carrier sites.
- Help HR Team organize staff events.
- Attend career fairs and job expos as needed.
- Distribute incoming mail for the Human Resources Department
- Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests as needed.
- Perform administrative duties such as maintaining employee database and sorting through emails for the HR department.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR department.
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR department and duties.
Job Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field of study
- Basic knowledge of Human Resources functions and administrative support
- Proven experience with Onboarding and Talent Acquisition preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years in an administrative or relevant position preferred.
- Proficiency with computers and other office equipment
- Strong communication skills
