Tasting Room Associate (Sbragia Ambassador)

INTRODUCTION: Sbragia’s current and post-pandemic hospitality will focus on a by-appointment simplified hospitality program with the key objectives of safety (sanitization and social distancing protocol) comfort and casual fun. Our hospitality team will consist of a small number of Sbragia Ambassadors. Each of our Ambassadors will perform at different times and as directed, all aspects of the new hospitality program, including making reservations, concierge greeting at the winery entrance, seating reservations, pouring wine for the tasting experiences (or table side service), delivering wine to tables, engage with and answer questions from guests, work with other Sbragia Ambassadors to ensure social distancing is practiced, ring up purchases, and clean and maintain all hospitality venues and support spaces.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE possesses:
•  a working knowledge of premium and luxury wine
•  a passion for wine and food
•  a vivacious, outgoing personality
•  fabulous people skills
•  a willingness to perform a number of varying tasks, often on the same day
•  hospitality experience (of any kind).

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Primary contact for all guests via email, phone and in person (on site).
•  Day to day tasting room operations.
•  Promotion and sales of Sbragia Wine Club.
•  Preparing and packing wine shipments.
•  Ensure all sales and orders are promptly and properly processed in the POS system.
•  Stocking and cleaning.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
•  Ability and desire to work weekends (that is when we see most of our guests!).
•  Ability and desire to work extended hours including evenings when required.
•  Passionate about people.
•  Very strong multi-tasking skills.
•  Enjoys working in a team environment.
•  Valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record.
•  Stand for up to eight hours a day while working.
•  Lift up to 50 pounds, repetitively.
