Accounts Payable Supervisor

Role Summary:

The Accounts Payable Supervisor role includes exposure to a variety of functions including transaction processing, process improvement, cost allocations and financial reporting. Responsible for supervising the accounts payable team and providing support to the CFO, Controller, Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant with career advancement potential organically and through acquiring additional testing sites.

What you’ll do:

• Manage the accounts payable cycle
• Provide accurate coding of vendor invoices to proper sites, departments, line of business and GL code
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
• Review vendors and properly account for service provider agreements and forms
• Track, file, and pay sales and use tax for various locations
• Monitor rents, property taxes, and various government and state filings
• Reconcile purchase orders, invoices and packing slips
• Maintain vendor files including 1099s
• Ensure vendor credits are properly applied
• Effectively communicate with vendors regarding billing exceptions and payments
• Analyze amounts due and initiate payment planning and processing
• Participate in process improvement of the accounts payable function including the accounts payable automation
• Assist with auditor and other requests

What you have:

• Associate degree or greater with courses in accounting preferred
• At least five years of related experience
• Detail-orientation
• Demonstrated understanding of the accounts payable workflow process and how it affects the general ledger and financial reporting
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Deadline orientation
• Problem solving skills
• Net Suite experience preferred; similar ERP system experience required
• Intermediate Excel experience preferred
• Interest in hybrid work model with 4 days per week on-site

• 123 North Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL
• Current work schedule is primarily on-site with remote work one day per week
• No travel
