Job Description: As a Patient Coordinator (aka Patient Concierge) you will be the first point of contact for our surgery patients, you’ll help them plan travel for surgery and will communicate with them about planning for surgery. Your responsibilities will include:

• Talking, emailing and texting with patients with a friendly and empathetic demeanor
• Assist the practice manager with scheduling appointments and managing the appointment calendar efficiently
• Answering phone calls and responding to patient questions
• Assisting patients with planning their procedures
• Coordinating patient care with our nurse
• Maintaining patient records and confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations
• Providing support and assistance to patients from over 60 countries and diverse backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQ community.

ü  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; polished appearance

ü  Very strong organizational and multitasking abilities

ü  Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

ü  Proficiency in computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite / Teams

ü  Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required

ü  Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations

ü  Empathy and compassion towards patients from diverse backgrounds

This position includes full-time onsite hours Monday-Friday; 830a - 5p. No weekends or on-call. Bi-lingual abilities always appreciated.
