LightFeather is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Proposal Writer to join our dynamic team. Additionally, your aptitude for managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and overseeing details across various opportunities—while multitasking and ensuring the team remains focused—is unparalleled. Above all, as an analytical thinker, you have the knack for translating both written and oral technical communications into formats that are digestible by a wider audience.
This Position is Full Time, Remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze RFPs and RFIs with a strategic eye, ensuring alignment with company capabilities and goals.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure proposals accurately reflect our expertise and offerings.
- Engage directly with current and potential clients, identifying opportunities to showcase our services.
- Write, review, and refine proposals, ensuring they meet RFP/RFQ guidelines and convey our strengths effectively.
- Prioritize proposal development tasks, managing timelines and coordinating with all stakeholders to meet deadlines.
- Produce a range of documents, from government proposal responses to white papers, ensuring consistency, readability, and professionalism.
- Develops and oversees a centralized content library specifically for proposals, ensuring that all materials such as documents, templates, and case studies are well-organized and easily accessible.
- Regularly updates the content library to include the latest materials, and performs routine maintenance to ensure all content remains relevant and up-to-date.
Minimum Requirements:
- US Citizenship.
- Bachelor’s Degree in English or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in technical proposal writing, preferably within the Federal Government sector.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical information into clear, persuasive language.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong research capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in new business development content creation.
- Understanding of marketing principles with a client-first approach.
- Ability to craft management and staffing sections of proposals.
- Adaptability to the dynamic nature of the RFP process.
