Property Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of duties for our furnished apartment community while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities will include general labor work, gathering equipment/supplies, lifting and moving of furniture, ensuring that all facilities are in a safe condition, and handling all maintenance requests in a timely, efficient matter. In addition, this position will also include daily duties such as painting, improvement projects, routine seasonal maintenance, and other duties assigned by management.

​Schedule:

• 9 am - 5 pm weekday hours with rotating night/weekend on-call status

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Painting residential apartments and individual rooms
• Drywall repair and other simple carpentry duties
• Basic plumbing repairs such as addressing clogged toilets & drains, leaking faucets, etc.
• Delivering friendly customer service while completing tasks
• General grounds-keeping including trash pickup, pulling weeds, maintaining grill areas, etc.
• Prepare all apartments prior to move-in to ensure standard set by management
• Routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance
• The ability to troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions
• Complete work and repair orders in a timely manner

• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Great communication
• Previous experience in property maintenance or other related fields preferred but not required
