Industrial Engineer - Manufacturing

We have an opening for an Industrial Engineer with a stable and growing Alabama manufacturer located in the Birmingham, Alabama area.

The Industrial Engineer will optimize production processes, improving efficiency, and contribute to the overall success of operations. The Industrial Engineer will apply engineering principles to analyze and enhance systems, streamline workflows, and implement cost-effective solutions.

Salary Range is 95 to 140k and is based upon prior depth and breadth of work experience, education, and overall skill set. Strong benefit package is included.

Responsibilities will include analyzing existing production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, waste reduction, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflow and minimize waste with existing products. Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity, quality, and safety within the manufacturing environment. Conduct time and motion studies to analyze work methods, labor requirements, and production standards.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing operations, with a focus on lean methodologies.

· Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, including value stream mapping, 5S, Kanban, and continuous improvement techniques.

· Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools, such as Excel, Minitab, or JMP.

· Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive change in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.

· Experience with process optimization, capacity planning, and production scheduling.

· Familiarity with manufacturing systems, such as ERP/MRP software and CAD/CAM tools.

· Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.

· Project management experience is a plus.
