IT Generalist (Lvl 2 Help Desk) Mobile Position

Summary

Directs and coordinates activities related to the operation, installation and maintenance of internal & external communications & information technology systems, networks, fire systems, telephone systems, internet services and related equipment.

Essential Duties

• Oversees the operation of the dealership-wide computer system and related peripherals.
• Assists with establishes/monitors and maintains the dealership directories and security. Maintains backup of all files, security and rights.
• Applies knowledge in the maintenance and operation of computer hardware, operating systems and related software applications.
• Interacts with Internet providers to maintain constant services to the Dealership.
• Instructs staff in use of the dealership and manufacturer computer systems.
• Coordinates equipment installation and maintenance activities with appropriate department managers to avoid disruption in communications and ensures efficiency of operations.
• Assists department heads with setting up and fully utilizing management information systems.
• Designs, develops, and updates computer generated forms, manuals management reports and other items as requested.
• Manages user e-mails & e-mail system.
• Communicates any IT or equipment related issue to Dealership management immediately.
• Manages all toner & ink supplies for Dealership peripheral devices.
• Recommends potential cost savings for any hardware and or devices used by the Dealership.
• Attends/completes training as may be assigned.
• Positive ability to work with Dealership staff, and outside service providers.
• This position will support multiple locations.
