Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
Seeking a highly driven and effective professional to lead and evolve our engineering discipline across the teams. These teams are responsible for envisioning, planning, and developing project management and accounting capabilities in the product. As an Engineering Manager, you will leverage your expertise, experience, and passion to create and foster a high performing team that delivers quality and excellence to our clients.

· Team & Technical Leadership – deep commitment to creating a highly collaborative, innovative and high performing engineering team that builds high quality, consumer-grade products
o Evangelize, support, and embody the Company Mission, Strategy and Values
o Foster a culture of accountability and commitment and own outcomes for personal and team activities
o Provide hands on technical oversight on project initiatives to promote, influence, and guide delivery excellence
o Ensure solutions are architecturally sound, performant, scalable, and maintainable
o Continuously assess, prioritize and advocate for the reduction of technical debt
o Coordinate with Technical Lead on organizing, planning and executing the teams work

· Talent Management – solid expertise and knowledge in resource management and staff performance management
o Responsible for supervising, monitoring, coaching, growing, disciplining and appraising individual performance
o Adjust the recruiting process as needed to identify, attract and hire highly skilled, qualified candidates
o Frequently monitor individual and team results to identify and proactively communicate development opportunities
o Monitor and enforce compliance of all Company and Group policies and procedures
o In collaboration with the Director of Engineering and Product Directors:
*Identify, interview and hire the appropriate staff needed for the team
*Develop the appropriate goals and objectives for individual staff, and measure the results in a quarterly appraisal process
*Develop a training plan that supports the goals and objectives for the team in collaboration with the corporate training function
*Provide career counseling and feedback to staff and team as appropriate
*Review and approve weekly timesheets and PTO requests for the team

Skills & Competencies
This role does not require active coding, but qualified candidates must have the skills to operate as a software engineer. Proficiency in the following is required:
· Experience in C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS and one or more web development frameworks (Blazor preferred)
· Experience optimizing software performance and scalability through profiling, tuning, and architectural improvements, ensuring applications can handle increasing loads and maintain responsiveness over time.
· CI/CD pipelines using automated build, testing, and deployment processes to facilitate frequent and reliable software releases in a mature development setting

Education or Prior Work Experience
· 5+ years of relevant management experience leading teams of 7+ engineers across multiple technical disciplines
· 8+ years as a software engineer with 3+ years building enterprise solutions with a large codebase
· Knowledge of Project Management and Finance business domains
· Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field
· Experience working within established development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban, adhering to structured processes for requirements gathering, planning, development, testing, and deployment.
