MANTECH seeks a career and customer-oriented Software Engineering Team Lead to join our team. This is an onsite position at customer locations in Reston, VA or Washington, D.C. with potential for occasional remote work.
The Software Engineering Team Lead serves as a senior-level professional providing deep technical expertise in software development, AI/ML systems, and applications operations management. In this role, you will direct a multi-disciplinary team of engineers developing, migrating, and maintaining mission-critical applications for intelligence analysis and warfighting capabilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Designing, developing, deploying, and sustaining mission and business applications using modern DevSecOps methodologies, agile practices, and containerized microservice architectures
  • Spearheading the migration of legacy applications to modern, cloud-native, microservice-based architectures
  • Providing comprehensive cybersecurity support throughout the software development lifecycle, including secure architecture design, compliance tracking, and authorization management
  • Leading, mentoring, and coordinating daily tasks for a multi-disciplined engineering workforce to ensure alignment with delivery milestones

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in technical leadership roles
  • 2+ years of experience leading technical programs delivering solutions for IC or DOW organizations
  • 2+ years of experience supporting DIA
  • Relevant experience working with other IC organizations

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain CI Poly

Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, and/or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations

The projected compensation range for this position is $165,900.00-$295,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
