General Job Description:
This position is responsible for leading, mentoring, and design quality of a team of engineers responsible for the delivery of engineering services for HVAC, plumbing, process piping and other contract services offered by ACCO Engineered Systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervision and development of a team of 3 or more engineers
  • Oversight of design engineers in one or more of ACCO's design build services, such as HVAC, Plumbing, Process Piping, Industrial, Refrigeration, or Controls
  • Flexibility to change disciplines or areas of focus within these specialties as determined by the needs of the company
  • Participate with engineering management in mentoring and training of engineers within team
  • Participate with engineering management in work load delegation and management
  • Review and quality control of team members work
  • Complete project planning
  • Review of code required energy compliance and LEED documentation performed by team
  • Review engineering calculations such as energy analysis, economic analysis, selection and layout of equipment, duct and piping system design performed by team
  • Field engineering: assist with project execution, site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solving
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and project team members
  • Manage time to meet project schedules and task deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Position Requirements:
  • BS in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 3+ years design experience, with 1 year in a role demonstrating leadership and mentoring capability
  • Professional Engineer license highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and constructability
  • Strong familiarity with Building Codes and industry standards
  • Strong understanding of 2D and 3D modeling of HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems

Hours:
