Position Summary:

 Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems with production equipment.  Required to perform safe isolation of equipment up to 4160 VAC. Must ensure the safety, cleanliness, and orderliness of the plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setup and commissioning of any new electrical at the plant.
• Responsible for the yearly MSHA Ground Fault Protection testing.
• Rewiring and replacing old and outdated electrical components.
• Re-building of switchgear and PLC’s and reprogramming.
• Preventative maintenance of electrical components. 
• Responsible for performing vibration analysis of electrical motors and using infrared camera to do the semiannual maintenance on all the switchgears at the plants.
• Perform any other tasks and duties as requested, directed, or assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Practical working experience in electrical systems within industrial electrical construction or industrial manufacturing.
• Must be proficient using test instruments, meters, high voltage testers, power tools and hand tools. 
• Experience troubleshooting VFDs, DC drives and PLC systems desired.
• Must possess your own hand tools.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Able to complete job tasks safely and effectively without supervision.
• Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner.
• Ability to work in a team environment or as an individual contributor.
• Ability to operate equipment to include forklift and/or aerial lift/ work platform.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Education and Experience:

• Must have Journeyman Electrician License, equivalent certification, or license.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience

Physical Requirements:

• Heavy lifting required, lift up 50 lbs. +
• Must be able to work in severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
• Must be able to stand / sit 8-15 hours per day.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move as part of normal work activities.
• Work on stairs, ladders, raised platforms, flat and angled surfaces at varying heights.
• Ability to operate equipment to include forklift and/or aerial lift/ work platform.

Work Environment:

• Location of position:  Multiple Locations
• Background checks and drug tests required.
• Area Travel may be Required.
• Frequent exposure to moving, mechanical parts, confined, & tight areas.
• Maintaining a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
• Will be exposed to outside elements such as weather, noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils.
• May be subject to sitting/standing for long periods of time to perform job scope.
• May be required to work hours other than the regular schedule.
