Business Finance Controller

We are actively seeking a dynamic Business Controller to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the financial activities related to the North America Powertrain Segment.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage month-end closing activities for Statutory Reporting and Managerial Reporting
• Prepare monthly financial reporting ensuring accurate and timely information
• Manage budget and forecasts preparation
• Perform pricing and profitability analysis
• Track inventory level according to plan
• Guarantee the application of accounting standards on cost management and evaluate cost-reduction opportunities
• Maintain the accounting system compliant with US Cost Accounting Standards
• Prepare annual Financial Statements according to local and international Accounting Principles
• Manage payments and banking activities; liaison with Treasury as needed
• Handling Tax declarations supported by external Consultants
• Coordinate relations with external auditors
• Manage direct reports
• Assist in Company Expense Administration
• Assist in Local Business Insurance Filings
• P&L Management and Ad Hoc analysis based on business needs
• Other duties as assigned

The qualified candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related area. Master’s degree a plus!
• 8+ years of relevant experience in a variety of diverse accounting, finance and/or control positions within a manufacturing organization (e.g. Commercial Controller, Senior Financial Planning & Analysis, Industrial Controller)
• 5+ years of management experience
• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office, advanced Excel (Hyperion Essbase) knowledge helpful
• Able to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

• Demonstrated financial analytics and modeling experience with a strong understanding in all key areas of finance including financial analysis and strong business acumen in a global manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership competencies and skills with ability to cross-functionally lead and communicate effectively with all levels of management in a large, international, matrix organization.

• Product knowledge including management and control of product costing, pricing, and market positioning.
• GAAP principles, investment analysis and approval flows.
• Knowledge of SAP, ADP and or similar (nice to have)
