Shift Coordinator

Position Title: Shift Coordinator

Location: Madisonville, TN

Pay Range: $18/hour - $25/hour

Shift: 2nd (2:55 - 11:10) *Expected arrival time 2:30

Job Description:

• Develop and execute production schedules, ensuring alignment with company policies and communicating expectations clearly to staff.
• Motivate and support shift personnel in achieving production goals, maintaining facility standards, and fostering continuous improvement.
• Assist in staff performance evaluations and address any issues, ensuring awareness of individual performance levels.
• Manage staffing levels and coordinate training to optimize labor utilization and ensure staff competency.
• Participate actively in new product launches, ensuring smooth transitions and coordination with quality leaders.
• Take responsibility for shift quality assurance, addressing concerns promptly and coordinating responses to customer issues.
• Ensure accuracy in production reporting and compliance with safety standards and 5S principles. Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned, such as supply requisitioning and floor assistance.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years plastic process technical experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completed training in material handling and operator functions
• Good working knowledge of automated equipment
• Good working knowledge of material handling responsibilities
• 1-2 years of quality control experience or completed quality leader training
• Proven leadership ability – flexible/lead/do/motivate/own
• Ability to problem solve – get to the root cause
• High level of interpersonal skills with strong emphasis on communication across all levels
