The Bookkeeping Supervisor will be responsible for managing and leading our bookkeeping team, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of financial tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high-quality standards in financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of bookkeeping professionals.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
2. Financial Management:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the bookkeeping process.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and ledgers.
3. Quality Control:
- Review and audit financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial information.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify areas for process improvement.
4. Client Communication:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and expectations.
- Address client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
5. Software Proficiency:
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to manage financial data.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in bookkeeping technology.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Enrolled Agent, or related field
2. Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a focus on supervision or management.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
5. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
