Banquet Server

St Julien Hotel & Spa is looking for several hard-working and enthusiastic Banquet Servers who will be responsible for providing excellent guest service during all Banquet events.

Essential Job Functions:

• Understand the importance of, and adhere to, Four Star/Four Diamond and Preferred service standards.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown including, but not limited to, polishing silverware, setting tables, setting up buffets, and post-event clean up.
• Communicate effectively with Culinary staff to ensure timely and correct delivery of food.
• Follow appropriate service sequences and timing protocols.
• Perform wine service and request guest identification when legal drinking age is in question.
• Work proactively and professionally to ensure overall guest satisfaction, and direct any issues/concerns to Banquet management.
• Other duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience required. Previous Banquet or serving experience in a luxury hospitality setting highly preferred.
• Must be able to carry a tray and walk with up to 10 serving plates (or 20 dishes and silverware) at a time.
• Must be able to stand for several hours at a time and lift up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis.
• Valid TIPS certification required, or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
• Must have flexible availability and be able to work weekends and holidays.

COMPENSATION: $14.42/HOUR + GRATUITY
