About The Role
As a Nurse Practitioner at CODA's Beaverton Recovery Center, you will be at the forefront of patient-centered detoxification and stabilization services. You'll oversee and provide direct medical care to individuals withdrawing from addictive substances-evaluating medical needs, prescribing medications, and developing treatment plans.
This critical leadership role includes creating and refining medical protocols in collaboration with the Medical Director, providing consultation to nursing staff, and ensuring that all clinical decisions align with best practices and CODA's mission. You'll respond to medical emergencies, contribute to interdisciplinary care planning, and help shape the quality of care through data-informed and compassionate practice.
Whether conducting in-person evaluations or consulting remotely, your impact will be felt across the program as a key medical decision-maker and recovery advocate.
What You Will Bring
  • Licensure & Education: Active, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license and DEA certification to prescribe controlled substances. Graduation from an accredited NP program and national certification in a nurse practitioner specialty.
  • Clinical Expertise: Experience in managing substance use withdrawal, prescribing medications, evaluating medical risk, and leading clinical decision-making in complex environments.
  • Medical Leadership: Proven ability to collaborate on treatment protocols, consult on medical emergencies, and provide clinical oversight to interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain confidentiality and foster rapport with patients, teams, and community partners.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competence with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), crisis prevention certification (e.g., CPI), and a valid Oregon or Washington driver's license.
  • Physical Readiness: Able to safely operate a motor vehicle, perform CPR, lift up to 25 lbs., and work in a clinical environment with required PPE.
